“Subtleties in Snowflakes” was painted intuitively as I do most of my watercolour paintings. When I could see beautiful designs immerging in the blooms of the white paint and water, it reminded me of the subtleties we can see in nature, such as snowflakes, and also in art. I think of how we see things differently when we take the time to study them or see them close up. When I think of snow falling, it is incredibly beautiful, but it is even more beautiful to see the intricacies of the unique snowflake designs. Seeing the trees vs the forest. I think of how we are so unique as humans, and the beauty of embracing our differences as they are what makes us beautiful. I love that every artist has a unique style- even if the painting looks similar when complete- the “how “ and “why” it was painted that way is different for each person.
